About me

Hello! I would describe myself as a caring, compassionate person who enjoys engaging with individuals within a diverse community.

The way i work best described as 'pluralistically integrative', meaning that it combines aspects from a wide variety of counselling perspectives, including Person-Centred, Existential, Psychodynamic, Solution-focused, & CBT. Put simply, these concepts afford the flexibility to focus Systemically on who you are, your relationship with yourself and others, along with the changes you desire within your life.

From my own experiences, I know how difficult it can be to take the first step into counselling.  While I hope to bring a level of experience and theoretical understanding to my work, I am not the expert of your life - you are. I aim to co-create a friendly, creative and confidential space where you can begin to feel at ease with your self, to become clearer about your present and feel more in control of your future. Your feelings are real, your needs are important and the change or sense of understanding you desire is possible.

My counselling practice is collaborative, secure and creative. No matter how large the problem might seem or how stuck you might feel, I encourage you to give me a call, to feel my presence and hopefully feel that we might work well together.

I can offer Online sessions using secure video conference software.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
