Grace Gambo, Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, MBACP
Hello! I am a BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) Registered Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, specialising in working with young people and adults.
I draw from a Humanistic Integrative approach to Counselling which means that I consider you the client as a whole person – your mind, your body, and your spirit.
I encourage creativity and the use of our ability to make the right choices. I recognise and value the individuality of the client and their capacity for growth and change while considering forces that are exacted upon us by society and culture, as well as our early relationships and experiences, and how they inform our development and current patterns of thinking, feeling, behaving, and relating.
I will provide a safe, honest and empathic therapeutic relationship from which you can reflect on your situation, thoughts, and feelings. From a collaborative, non-directive and non-judgmental approach, we will look at areas of your life that you find challenging and work together in a way that allows you to deepen your understanding and self-awareness. We will explore tools and strategies that you may wish to help manage your life for you to feel more comfortable and confident within yourself, and help you make positive changes towards your self-actualization.
Training, qualifications & experience
I am a trained integrative counsellor, with an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Integrative Counselling. I draw from different psychotherapeutic models from humanistic to psychodynamic therapy.
I have experience working with a wide range of issues and in a variety of settings including the NHS and a drug and alcohol misuse service.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
