About me

Welcome. Reaching out for therapy often comes at a moment when something inside is shifting — or needs to. You might be navigating uncertainty, emotional difficulty, a transition, or simply the sense that life feels out of step with who you are. Whatever brings you here, I offer a space where we can explore that together.

My approach is grounded in Jungian psychodynamic theory, woven together with a range of other therapeutic methods to support you — as a whole, complex, evolving person. This is not a one-size-fits-all process. It's tailored to your unique experiences, challenges, and goals.

I work with adults from all walks of life — people in early adulthood finding their way, in the depths of midlife questioning, or facing the unfolding complexities of later years. Whatever stage you’re in, our work will focus on what matters most to you right now. I offer a balance of structure and openness, inviting insight, self-discovery, and grounded personal growth.

We may also explore how body and mind connect — gently incorporating practices like walking or yoga, if it feels supportive. This is always collaborative and attuned to what feels natural and right for you.

Whether our work is brief or longer-term, my intention is to support you in making sense of your inner world, reconnecting with what gives your life meaning, and moving forward with greater clarity, confidence, and depth.

Training, qualifications & experience

With over 40 years of experience spanning mental health care, education, and psychotherapeutic practice, I bring a broad and deep understanding to the work we do together. I hold a Psychology degree from London University, postgraduate diplomas from the British Association of Psychotherapists and Oxford University, and a Master’s degree in Psychotherapy from Leeds Beckett University.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. Throughout my career, I have remained deeply committed to maintaining high professional standards and ongoing personal and professional development, ensuring my practice remains informed, ethical, and effective.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
