Hello, and thank you for reviewing my page.
My 30-year career in well-being and social & mental health care enables me to work creatively, sensitively, and respectfully as a therapist.
Whilst I work with a wide range of client concerns and issues, my main areas of specialisation are with gender and sexual diversity and with eating disorders and body image matters.
As part of my own training and personal development I engage intensive psychoanalysis. This, alongside regular clinical supervision is to hold in check that my professional practice is focused, solid, and evolving.
If you are feeling overwhelmed at the thought of beginning therapy, or just unsure, please feel free to contact me and talk this through.
I work from a very comfortable, confidential and discrete practice in Clerkenwell which has excellent transport links.
Training, qualifications & experience
I hold a BSc (Hons) Psychology degree from Birkbeck, University of London, a PG Diploma in the psychodynamics of human development from the British Association of Psychotherapists, a teaching qualification PGCE, from the University of East London, A PG Certificate from the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust in counselling in educational settings. I undertook the PG Certificate at the Institute for Group Analyses and the qualifying clinical PG Diploma in psychodynamic practice at the University of Oxford.
I have worked in mental health care in a range of capacities, including being a mentor in several universities across London. I am a university and college lecturer and a trainer in the fields of psychology, health, counselling, and social care. I have worked for 3 years as a volunteer therapist with MIND in Islington.
