About me

I'm an experienced clinical psychotherapist, counsellor and clinical hypnotherapist working with adults, couples and children experiencing a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, communication and conflict issues, couples counselling, divorce, affairs and separation, low self esteem, reconstructed families, pregnancy and impact of new baby, work stress/bullying at work, insomnia and bereavement counselling.

You may be worried and suffering from anxiety or depression as a result of concerns due to life's pressures and changes. Coming to terms with events in the past or present or with relationship worries may cause difficulties. Sometimes you may fear that what you are bringing to counselling is shameful or embarrassing but being a psychotherapist, with a number of years’ experience I use a range of approaches and techniques to meet your individual specific needs, in order to connect with what is needed most.

No matter what obstacles there are, I offer professional, discreet and caring help upon a wide range of issues to help, resolve and manage problems. Another approach to therapy is hypnotherapy. I am both an adult and pediatric hypnotherapist.

Hypnotherapy encourages you to let go of their worries and anxieties. Here we can work with the unconscious, the deeper part of the mind, that governs our automatic fears and habits. This part of the mind can be trained to help you live life to the full.

Hypnotherapy may be used for:

  •   Anxiety
  •   Depression
  •   Weight Loss
  •   Smoking Cessation
  •   Phobias.

Psychotherapy and hypnotherapy may be used in conjunction with each to provide a range of unique and bespoke approaches to truly meet the individuals specific needs. No matter what obstacles there are, I offer a professional, discreet and caring therapeutic service.

I have flexible working hours so if you have any questions or would like to book a session, then please get in touch. You can call me on 07785 258 566 or send an email.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
