About me

Welcome I’m Gizele, I am a qualified Psychotherapist/ integrative counsellor and Clinical Supervisor. I am a registered member of the British Association for counselling and Psychotherapy. I offer one-to-one support to children, young people and adults. I have a wide range of life experiences of working with individuals focusing on emotional wellbeing.

I have worked with clients in a number of areas such as depression, anxiety, self-harm, bullying, cultural issues, trauma, sexual abuse, identity, anger management, relationships, self-development, loneliness, loss and bereavement.

I am empathetic and non-judgemental, I practice integrative therapy which means I use a variety of approaches and techniques which enables me to tailor the work to each individual, depending on your needs and what you want to gain from your counselling sessions.

I aim to provide a warm, empathic, confidential safe space to listen, reflect and provide emotional support. I aim to build a relationship where you can talk freely and openly discuss and explore any problems or issues that you may be facing, without criticism or judgement.

My initial telephone consultation is free and will last 15mins. I offer telephone or Zoom sessions at the rate of £55 per session. During the initial consultation session, I will explain about the counselling process and about what I can offer. You will have the opportunity to tell me about yourself and what issues you want to work on during the sessions. There is no obligation to continue with sessions.

I work on a short term and a long-term basis to assist you to gain deeper insight into yourself, I work with a diverse client base covering a variety of issues.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
