Gina Easom (MBACP, PG Dip, BSc Hons)
Hello, I hope you find some information on my profile that is helpful to you. It can be difficult to know where to start but if something in your life isn't how you would like it to be and you are feeling stressed, anxious or depressed then starting therapy with me could help to change things.
I am trained in relational psychotherapy which can benefit you if you are facing issues such as: anxiety, low mood, relationship problems, loss, stress and addictions. I believe that many of the problems we face arise from difficulties in relationships that happened in the past or are happening now. These difficulties can leave us feeling sad, anxious and uncertain about our futures. In therapy we work on whatever is troubling you and I help you to move towards your goals. Positive outcomes of relational therapy include an improved relationship with yourself and improved relationships with others.
I offer flexi-counselling which consists of online video therapy, telephone counselling, email counselling or face to face. Whether you decide to engage in online therapy or face to face is your decision. You may prefer online therapy so you can talk to me in complete confidence from the comfort of your own home. Alternatively, it may be easier for you to access my service online if you have other commitments such as travel, work or childcare issues that prevent you committing to regular face to face sessions.
Please feel free to contact me for any difficulty to see if I can help. I will not judge you or tell you what to do, I am here to help you be the best version of you. This service is available to men and women aged 18 years and above.
Specialist Addiction Service
In addition to my general counselling service I also offer a specialist service for women only who are experiencing alcohol problems (see www.hollaandheard.com). I am passionate about helping women to regain control of their drinking and their life in order to be their best self.
Would you like to be able to control your drinking and have a healthy relationship with alcohol? Have you found it difficult to find the support you're looking for or are you unsure if you really need help, after all you don't fit the profile of a stereotypical 'alcoholic'. Do you keep quiet about your alcohol use for fear of shame and judgement from others?
If you have realised that your relationship with alcohol is unhealthy then congratulations, you have taken the first step by acknowledging this. The following statements may help to clarify this further:
- Do you have the feeling that you are drinking too much?
- Has anyone else expressed concern about your drinking?
- Is your drinking causing problems in your relationships?
- Have you had occasions where you have ended up drinking more or for longer than you intended?
If you answer yes to 2 or more it is usually a sign that your drinking is not in the 'normal' range of alcohol use and is classed as 'problematic'.
If you would like to discuss this in complete confidence with a MBACP qualified counsellor/psychotherapist then please get in touch by email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
It's quick and easy to access therapy by Skype, FaceTime or Whatsapp, from the comfort of your own home at a time to suit you. You don't have to tell anyone what you're doing and you don't have to travel anywhere. Please see my website for details of how to book: www.hollaandheard.com
