About me

Welcome to my profile
Sometimes the burden of life can be overwhelming especially when you feel Alone, and Isolated. Whether you are struggling with Anxiety, Depression, Relationships Issues, Divorce, Bereavement,  Work related Stress or one of the many other issues negatively affecting your life.

By seeking out Counselling you are taking a first step towards bringing about Positive Change. I provide a Safe, Non-judgemental Confidential Space to support you in gaining insights and awareness of the underlying root causes, of the crisis, and conflicts, affecting your life. I operate primarily from a Person-Centred approach, being mindful that human beings need to feel Valued and Respected before positive change can come about. I am guided by and incorporate, an eclectic integrative approach my belief is that there is no one Counsellor or style of Counselling that suits all we are all unique, and different therefore it's important that the Counsellor and Client feel connected which forms the basis of the Counselling relationship.

Prior to booking the first session, I am available by telephone or email, to answer any questions you may have. Once Counselling begins, I will support you every step of the way to develop the inner resources to bring about positive change in your life.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Fees. £45 per session

Concessions are available for those holding Counselling student status.

I can offer short, or long term Counselling, along with open ended.

On the first visit, we can use the session to discuss, how we might work together, exploring your hopes and expectations from the counselling process. Along with giving you the opportunity to decide if I am the right counsellor for you.

The most important part of the counselling relationship is a feeling of connection, from one human being to another, without this connection the process is unlikely to work. When clients come along to counselling they are usually feeling overwhelmed, and confused.

The service I offer is upfront and transparent from the outset, which provides a clear foundation of our working practice.

Concessions offered for

  • Keyworkers
  • Trainee counsellors

Further information

Alongside my professional qualifications and experience, I work from an intuitive (gut feeling) perspective, which adds an extra dimension, when verbal communication is difficult.

Human beings communicate as much non-verbally as they do verbally, which is a valuable part of the counselling process.

You will always be Valued, Accepted, Listened to and Respected, as the foundation of our work together.
