About me

I offer person-centred counselling in a comfortable home environment. You may be struggling with relationships, with work, with loss, with identity.

So many aspects of our lives are intertwined and from time to time we all need support in unraveling and processing life’s experiences. I offer a safe space, free of judgement to help with that processing.

Training, qualifications & experience

I’m a qualified counsellor (PgDip) offering person-centred therapy to help you work through things in your own time and in your own way. I’ve worked in bereavement support, and am also currently a part-time school counsellor. I have worked with adult survivors of adverse childhood experiences and I have experienced and lived with a few of life’s curveballs too.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

Further information

My way of working is built entirely around you – do you need a space to reflect on your feelings? Do you need tailored support for anxiety conditions? Are you struggling with confidence, with work or with parenthood? Are you trying to navigate grief? We may experience the same things as others, but how we experience them is unique to us – as such the support I offer will be unique too.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their ethical framework. I am also liability insured and registered with the ICO (Information Commissioners Office: Registration number ZB177238).
