About me

Life can be hard and there are times when it becomes more difficult to cope.  As a professional Person-Centred Counsellor based in Aberdeen, I create a confidential, therapeutic space that is safe for you to explore any issues you may be struggling with.  I won't give advice or tell you what to do, but what I will do is listen without judgment and offer you my full support.  Together we will find ways to help you heal and move forward.

You will see from the list below of areas of counselling I deal with, I have experience of helping clients explore many challenging life events and traumatic experiences.

As a former member of an emergency service I have first hand experience of how responding to and dealing with emergency situations can adversely affect those involved in providing that service.  In order to acknowledge their dedication and to support the amazing work they do, I offer a special flat rate for members of all blue light services.

Please reach out and get in touch so we can discuss how we might work together. You can contact me via mobile or email. It is likely I will be with a client so please leave a message including your contact details and the best time to call back. I do check my voicemail and email regularly and aim to return messages the same day.

I successfully completed the Post Graduate Diploma in Person Centred Counselling from the University of Aberdeen in 2022 and I am continuing on to the Masters in PC Counselling with Children & Young People later this year.

I have completed the following training:

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
