Gill Hawley (Registered Member BACP)
I am an experienced and compassionate person-centred Counsellor/Therapist. I offer a supportive, non-judgemental, accepting, professional and confidential service where you can be yourself. Based in the Chilterns, I am privileged to have been alongside clients during their healing process. I work with a wide range of emotional problems and relationship issues. I am also an accredited Bereavement Counsellor and Supervisor having worked for Cruse Bereavement Care since 2005, specialising in bereavement by suicide.
My awareness, intuition and empathy enable me to provide a safe, trusting environment in which your emotional pain can be worked through. The therapeutic process helps you to move on from painful difficulties and initiates self-awareness, personal development and psychological change. This can have a positive impact on your self-esteem and well-being, which could help you to lead a more fulfilled, healthier and happier life.
Are you dealing with painful feelings, struggling with unmanageable anger, sadness or emptiness, which you find difficult to understand? Do you suffer from lack of confidence, have feelings of worthlessness or shame? Do you feel you are not good enough?
We are all unique individuals. If you feel that you have been negatively affected by an experience or relationship, which is having a detrimental impact on your life and functioning, counselling could help you.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice so you can be sure your therapy will be carried out to the highest professional standards. I hold full professional liability insurance and an enhanced CRB check and receive regular supervision.
I have undertaken an OCN Certificate in Supervision, which enables me to offer supervision to qualified and trainee Counsellors.
Based in Amersham, I also cover Chesham, the Chalfonts, Beaconsfield, Gerrards Cross, Denham, Seer Green and Chorleywood and am 10 minutes drive from M25 Junction 18 and M40 Junction 2.

Supervision & training
I hold a Certificate in OCN Supervision and currently supervise both qualified and trainee psychotherapists within a group setting or on a one-to-one basis. As with other aspects of my practice, I draw on a variety of perspectives, but my main approach is person-centred, where I gently challenge existing ideas and approaches to enrich and develop knowledge, skills and experience. I aim to provide a non-judgemental, collaborative environment where supervisees feel supported to meet all aspects of their clinical work.View supervision profile
