Hello and welcome, well done for taking the brave decision to seek help and support. Counselling can help you deal with deeply buried emotions and memories or present circumstances that are stopping you from living your life to the full.
There are many reasons why we can struggle with our emotional and mental health but with balance in our lives, we are able to live to our full potential and be happy.
I have been counselling for over 10 years and have worked alongside clients of all ages who have had a range of issues including anxiety, depression, living with abuse either in childhood or adulthood, anger and panic attacks. These clients have been able to move forward from their struggles and start to live, to be happy and manage their lives with more balance and a clearer outlook for their present and future.
Based in the North East of England, I provide Zoom, email, telephone & video chat sessions which makes the service very convenient and confidential. I provide evening and weekend sessions for those who find it difficult, for whatever reason, to attend sessions in office hours.
The first session is free of charge and further fees are £40 per 1 hour session. I do have concessions in place for unemployed or low income clients, please ask for details when you contact me.
Please feel free to contact me for any further information and session availability.

I am a qualified integrative counsellor who works alongside adults and children. I have extensive experience working with people who have experienced difficult emotions and situations in their lives.
Among some of the areas I have experience in are
- relationship breakdowns
- domestic abuse
- historic childhood abuse
- substance/alcohol misuse
- life changing conditions
- suicidal thoughts
- self harm
- low self-esteem
- low self-confidence
- sexual abuse/assault
Although I am an integrative counsellor and use more than one style of counselling, I am at heart person-centred, valuing you and accepting how you feel.
Training, qualifications & experience
I have gained experience working within schools, community venues, businesses and the NHS, working within their guidelines and organisational requirements as well as working independently with private clients.
I have worked with clients of all ages, from all walks of life and with a variety of issues and I continue to learn with every client.
As an essential part of my role as a counsellor, I have regular supervision and I continue my professional and personal development by studying new areas and accredited courses to ensure that I provide the best support to my clients.
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.

With an understanding of how busy lives are and how we often struggle to fit in our essential self-care I offer evening and weekend sessions to help make accessing therapy easier.
Fully insured, enhanced DBS, Safeguarding certificates and relevant training around counselling practice.
I work remotely via Zoom, email, text, telephone and WhatsApp. This ensures confidential and convenient sessions, which is vital for beneficial therapy and healing to take place.
I have availability for daytime, evening and weekend sessions which I find helps those clients who find it difficult, for whatever reason, to undertake sessions during normal office hours.
As I work within the needs of the client, I use integrating various counselling styles to help provide an individual and tailored counselling service to each client.
