About me

Is anxiety and depression controlling your life? Are you feeling unfulfilled, confused and lost? Do you want to have more control and choice in your life? Would you like to understand yourself more and make better decisions?

With counselling support, clients have been able to move forward and start to live, to be happy and to manage their lives with more balance and a clearer outlook for their present life and their future.

Offering exclusively online and telephone sessions, I provide convenient daytime, evening and weekend appointments to suit.

The first consultation session of 15 mins is free of charge. I do have concessions in place, please ask for details when you contact me.

Who am I and how do I work?

I have an intergrative approach, focusing on individual needs and support. I have experience in working alongside both adults and children.  With over 14 years of experience supporting clients, some of the areas I have experience in are:

  • anxiety/panic/feeling overwhelmed
  • trauma/domestic abuse/historic childhood abuse/sexual violence
  • suicidal thoughts/self harm
  • low self-esteem/confidence/depression/anxiety
  • OCD/control/phobias
  • loss/bereavement/relationship breakdown
  • life changing conditions/retirement

My aim is to support you while you find your own solutions and way forward. Counselling can help in building strategies to deal with everyday stress of life  and also understand yourself more. It can also help you to deal with deeply buried emotions and memories or present circumstances that are stopping you from living your life to the full.

**If you are having social thoughts and feel you might hurt yourself, please contact any of the following to get urgent help and support: Samaritans direct on 116123, NHS 111-option 2 or contact the police on 999**

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
