About me

I am an experienced counsellor living and working in the Bournemouth area.

At some stage in our lives we all encounter problems or situations which are difficult to face and work through alone. It can be helpful to talk to someone who will listen without judgement in a safe, confidential space and to explore the thoughts, feelings and behaviours which may be negatively affecting our life.

I offer counselling to individuals and couples, working as an integrative counsellor, using a variety of approaches as appropriate.

I find techniques based on compassion focussed therapy to be very helpful in dealing with a range of issues which are based on our unhelpful thought processes and which can have such a negative effect on our sense of well being.

My areas of expertise are in relationship issues, bereavement and loss, anxiety and depression but I am also equally experienced in working with people with a whole range of diverse problems.

I also run courses in relationships and bereavement - please visit my website for more information.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
