About me

There are times when you can feel overwhelmed by issues in your personal life, or are searching to find ways of changing patterns of behaviour – yours and those around you.

I am an Accredited Counsellor, who can offer a non judgemental and confidential space to explore what is troubling you. Counselling gives you the opportunity to be listened to in an accepting manner. And with over 13 years of counselling experience,  CBT, life coaching, meditation and nutrition qualifications, we are able to explore creative methods to achieve your goals.  I also believe that in-depth research powerfully informs contemporary counselling practice and am committed to continuous learning for the benefit of my clients.

We would initially explore if you're looking for short term or long-term counselling - you as the client decides what suits you best. My core training was psychodynamically focused, yet additional training enables us to be client-led and solution-focused when it comes to identifying the tools most useful to getting you ‘unstuck’.

Additionally, I offer specialisms in the areas of body health and the mind, autoimmune conditions, and bereavement. I am also keen to support entrepreneurs and students.  I have a keen interest in working with clients with neurodiversities, particularly ADHD.

Training, qualifications & experience

  • Core training. Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling, Goldsmiths College, SE4. (psychodynamic counselling) 2009-2011
  • Masters in Clinical Practice (Res), Exeter University, 2024

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
