About me
Hi there,
Seeking out a therapist can be a scary first step on your path to wellbeing and recovery. It’s important that your therapist is the right fit for you and so I always offer a free initial 15 minute meeting for us to connect and talk through what you would need from therapy.
I am a qualified mental health nurse and Cognitive Behavioural Therapist. My approach is therefore largely CBT based but I add in elements of self-compassion, mindfulness, acceptance and commitment therapy and other modalities.
I enjoy working creatively with people if it is helpful for them. This can include creative writing exercises, using art as an expression or even just doodling together while we talk if it feels more comfortable than just talking.
I am passionate about providing a safe space for people whatever that space might look like for them. I will also make adjustments where possible if it would make therapy more accessible or comfortable.
I can only currently offer appointments via Zoom on Fridays. The rest of the week I work for an NHS service.

Member organisations
school Registered / Accredited
Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

The BABCP is the lead organisation for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in the UK. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in the practice, theory or development of CBT. BABCP also provides accreditation for CBT therapists. BABCP accredited members adhere to the Standards of Conduct, Performance and Ethics in the Practice of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies, and are willing to be scrutinised in this adherence as required.
Accredited register membership

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
