Hello, I would like to give you a warm welcome to my page. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. My name is Georgina. I am a qualified counsellor (individual member of the BACP) who has trained in an integrative way, being able to use my knowledge of different theories.
Before training to become a counsellor, I worked in childcare for 22 years. I have had amazing relationships with both the children in my care and also their parents. It was such a rewarding job helping look after children and watching them grow. I wanted my career to move in a different direction and help children, teenagers and by working together, to find solutions which work best to help them overcome their struggles.
I have been working with charitable organisations over the past few years to gain experience working with different life situations, as well as having the experience of personal life challenges myself.
My company is called Trust In The Process Therapy. It symbolises that things may be/look bad now, but when you are ready to receive the help you need, together we can work through the process in really understanding what you need from therapy, work towards finding solutions, to be able to achieve your goals, in order for you to make your life better. You do not have to do this on your own.
The information that our minds are receiving, with our own thoughts and feelings towards certain events, may create unwanted negative emotions/feelings. With no one to share freely about how that truly makes us feel, could make us feel isolated, lonely, confused, overwhelmed, worried, anxious, or something is playing on your mind but you can’t quite work it out and it becomes frustrating, which can then affect our mental health. Our minds can be our own worst enemy at times.
I’m wondering what it would feel like to have a whole hour dedicated and focused purely on you? To be completely free, to be able to explore what is going on for you without the fear of being ashamed/embarrassed, feeling judged, being told no, you can’t do that or even criticised over something that is playing with your emotions.
Sometimes, in life, when we do reach out for help, there’s a huge weight that has been lifted from our shoulders and a sigh of relief, in the hope that we have found the right person to help us move forward as we can’t always do it by ourselves. I’m not saying I am here to provide answers or tell you what you want to hear. You are going to do the work in finding your own answers, but I am here to help you through your journey by giving clarification, asking questions, exploring your situation together, and also finding solutions that work best for you, in a safe, warm, caring, compassionate, empathic, congruent, understanding, confidential and open space.
I work in an integrative way, combining everything I have learnt together depending on you and your needs. Our sessions will last 50 mins, where I am purely focused on listening to you and your needs, and being able to provide support by accepting you for who you are, understanding, showing kindness, empathy, warmth and being genuine with you, to be able to help you process everything that is happening for you through your journey.
You are not on your own, so please do not suffer in silence, when you are ready, I am here to help.
I work with ages from 10+.
I work online or by telephone.
The best way to contact me is either email or telephone, where we can arrange a free 30 minute consultation.
I look forward to hearing from you.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)
BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).
Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.
Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.
All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
Accredited register membership
Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
