About me

Currently offering online sessions with reduced rates for students. A supportive counsellor offering a nonjudgmental, warm relationship helping you make sense of and manage with life’s difficulties.

I am a registered member of the BACP, beginning my practice in 2016. I have a variety of experience working across settings such as the NHS, charitable organisation and education. I offer a Humanistic Person-Centred approach to counselling, whilst having further training in several approaches such as Trauma-Focussed therapy and Focussing-Oriented therapy.

I offer a flexible approach, working either short-term or long-term depending on your personal needs and goals for therapy.

I have experience working with a wide range of difficulties including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, stress, work related difficulties, abuse, neglect, bereavement, adverse childhood experiences, existential concerns, and attachment issues.

What is counselling and how can it help?
Counselling is about being in a supportive relationship where you can feel heard, understood and accepted. In this type of relationship, you will have the space to feel comfortable exploring the difficulties in your life, gaining clarity. Often times people come with specific issues that might be bothering them, yet other times people come with a sense of something not quite being right without knowing what that is, such as feeling sad without understanding why. Starting wherever you are at, counselling can provide the space to make sense out of our difficulties, find different ways of managing, or create change.

Initial Consultations
It’s important to find a counsellor that fits. I offer a free, no obligation, 20-minute consultation session either by phone or video call. In this session, I will explain a little bit about how I work and we can discuss what is bringing you to counselling. If you feel we could work together we can move forward from here.

Simply contact me via email and we can look at arranging an initial consultation.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
