About me

My name is George and I offer affordable, short or long term counselling in Lydney, Forest of Dean.

My training has a humanistic and integrative ethos which allows me to really focus on you as an individual: experiencing you for who you are and what you bring. My counselling style is focused around building a relationship with you; I offer a calm and supportive environment in which we can explore your thoughts feelings and behaviours, particularly those that are causing you distress or influencing your quality of life. Therapy can be challenging but it is my role to support you through this process confidentially and without judgement.

Who do I work with?

Therapy is for anyone and everyone: irrelevant of social background, race, gender, age, sexuality or culture. People enter therapy for a variety of different reasons: some are experiencing crisis, a bereavement or are re-living a traumatic experience, some are experiencing anxiety or depression. Some people come to therapy not knowing why, but feeling like they are not getting what they want out of life and want to explore that more. Some people come to therapy sceptical and unsure. As an integrative  therapist, I can work with you to develop an approach that suits you, your goals and your desires for therapy.

"We are all in this together and there is no therapist and no person immune to the inherent tragedies of existence”. -Yalom
