Hi, I'm George and I offer a safe, private, confidential time and place for you to explore whatever it is that may be troubling you.
As a qualified person-centred counsellor I work with you in a way that supports you at your pace.
Together we can find what might be helpful for you from counselling, what's important to you and how we can begin that journey.
No matter how difficult things might feel, this is your time and space to find your way through.
I can work with you across either:
-a short term period (pre-agreed number of sessions)
-a longer term open ended period (with regular reviews) with each session lasting 50 minutes.
I'm a Registered Member of BACP and my counselling room is located central to the M8, M74 and M73 with ample free parking.
I'm able to offer appointments Monday to Friday 6pm - 9pm and Saturday 11am - 2pm with an Outreach/Home Visit service available.
Training, qualifications & experience
- Post Grad Diploma in Counselling - Strathclyde University.
- Post Grad Certificate in Counselling Skills - Strathclyde University.
- Mental Health First Aid training.
- mindSET Certificate of Completion.
- Ongong Continuous Professional Development.
I've worked as a qualified person-centred counsellor across a range of varied settings including: Voluntary sector, Education sector, NHS sector and the Private sector.
Prior to counselling my professional background has included Social Work, training and development of Social Service workers, Lecturer in Further Education.

Initial 30 min. consultation: No charge.
50 min. session: £40.00
Outreach/Home Visit 50 min. session: £40.00 + £10.00 (travel cost)
Call to arrange an appointment for an initial 30 min. consultation which can take place either over the telephone or at my counselling room.
If I'm not available to answer straight away please leave a message (with a time that's suitable for you) and I'll return your call as soon as possible.
During our 30 min.: we can, together, check in with what's brought you to consider counselling just now; you can develop a sense of whether you would like us to work together; you can ask any questions you may have.
