Dr George A Georgiou, MSc (CBT), PhD (Lond), CPsychol, AFBPsS, BABCP Acc.

London, W4

About me

I am a chartered psychologist, an associate fellow of the British Psychological Society (BPS), and a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA). I am also an accredited cognitive behavioural psychotherapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).

I aim to provide a space where clients feel safe, respected, and valued so that difficulties can be explored, without judgement, either through 6-20 sessions of cognitive behavioural therapy or if needed through more longer-term work.

If you have any questions or wish to arrange an initial consultation please send an email to drgeorge_georgiou@hotmail.com.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am currently a senior lecturer in psychology and clinical trainer where I teach cognitive behavioural therapy on various postgraduate courses that include PsychD Counselling Psychology and MA Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy programmes. I also have extensive experience as a cognitive behavioural therapist in various settings including the NHS.

Accessibility

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
