About me

Hi, I’m a qualified person-centred counsellor, and I offer a calm, confidential space where you can talk openly and feel heard, whether that’s in person, online, or over the phone.
I specialise in helping people navigate relationship difficulties, whether you're struggling in a current relationship, dealing with a breakup, finding patterns that keep repeating, or feeling isolated and disconnected.

Our relationships  with partners, family, friends, and even ourselves shape so much of how we experience life. When they’re not working, it can leave us feeling lost, hurt, or unsure of where we stand.

Alongside relationship issues, I also work with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, low mood, stress, loss, self-esteem, life transitions, and feeling overwhelmed or emotionally disconnected. Whatever you're facing, you're welcome to bring it into the space.

How I Work
I'm trained in the person-centred approach, which means I won't give advice or try to "fix" you, I believe you already have the answers within you. My role is to walk alongside you, offering empathy, honesty, and respect, helping you explore what’s really going on and what matters most to you.

Many people come to counselling feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of where to start. That’s completely okay. You don’t need to have it all figured out. I’ll meet you where you are, and together we can start to make sense of things.

Sessions

I offer counselling:

- In person (in stroud)

- Online (via teams )

- By telephone

You can choose the format that feels most comfortable and fits with your life. We can talk about this when you get in touch.

Next Steps
Reaching out for support can be tough  especially if you’re used to putting on a brave face. But you don’t have to do it alone. If you're curious about starting counselling, feel free to drop me a message or give me a call. I’ll be happy to answer any questions and we can see if working together feels like a good fit.

Training, qualifications & experience

Qualified in person centred counselling with additional training on working with trauma.

I am a dedicated and compassionate counsellor with a rich background in support work and mental health.

My journey in the helping professions began with hands-on experience as a support worker, where I cultivated a deep understanding of the diverse challenges people face. Over the years, I have worked extensively within the mental health sector, offering empathetic and person-centred support to individuals navigating complex issues such as eating disorders, trauma, and the stigma surrounding mental health conditions.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.

Accredited register membership

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
Accredited Register Scheme

The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
