About me
Hi, I’m Gemma, a Person-Centred neuro-affirmative Counsellor based in Newcastle upon Tyne.
I offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can feel heard, understood, and supported. With lived experience of ADHD and OCD, I truly understand how it feels to face the challenges these conditions bring. I specialise in helping individuals with anxiety, low mood, unhelpful patterns and getting un-stuck.
Whether you’re feeling lost, stuck, or overwhelmed, it’s important to know that you don’t have to navigate life’s difficulties alone. Talking with someone who is empathetic and trustworthy can make all the difference. My approach is person-centred but I draw from other forms of therapy to help you, which means I tailor our sessions to meet your unique needs and focus on building a trusting relationship where you feel safe to explore your feelings and challenges.
If you're struggling with feelings of anxiety, low self-esteem, grief, abuse or past experiences that are still affecting your life today, I’m here to help. Together, we can work towards understanding your experiences and finding a path forward that feels right for you.
Let’s talk – reaching out can be the first step towards healing and personal growth. I look forward to supporting you on your journey

Member organisations

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
