About me

Are you feeling anxious? Depressed? Low self-esteem? I offer therapeutic counselling using talking and creative therapy so you can plant the seeds of awareness and grow change in your life.

I (she/her) am a trained integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, ecopsychotherapist and practising artist. I work with adults and adolescents struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, loss, low self-esteem, relationships, divorce, life direction, stress, burnout, trauma, attachment, creative blocks, insecurity, intimacy issues, abuse, sexuality, OCD, religion, family problems, money stories, spiritual disconnection, psychedelic integration and living abroad.

My training covered children, adolescents and adult treatments. This is important because so often when we are looking at our core wounds they are the conflicts of the inner child. These are the changes we make to ourselves at a young age to try and feel safe and loved. These adaptations and defence mechanisms developed in childhood may now feel limiting in adult life.

There are many different therapy approaches, but studies show it is the therapeutic relationship that mostly effects outcomes. So, when choosing a therapist, contact a few to see what feels right for you. Who feels comfortable to talk to? Who do you feel can hold the enormity of emotions? If you're wondering if this could be a good fit, please get in touch.

As an integrative therapist I have various healing modalities to draw from including art therapy, drama therapy, attachment theory, person-centred approach, Gestalt, body work and existential therapy. My training in Wild Therapy means I am also qualified to practise outdoors in nature.

Each person is the expert on their own healing journey. My integrative approach takes the lead from clients on what they need as there is no one-therapy-fits-all method. This means that each session can be different depending on what comes up in the session.

I use talking therapy and creative interventions such as body awareness, visualisation, Neuro-linguistic programming, EFT tapping and HAB breathwork where they may lead to the release of emotional blocks or insight. I will answer your questions and also challenge you in my attempt to be authentic and congruent in our relationship.

As an artist with a background in the corporate world, I can relate to those in business and creative fields.

I have also lived internationally in London, New York, Doha, Italy, Geneva and Berlin and can sympathise with the many challenges of living and working abroad.

I offer long-term work with clients, weekly or fortnightly, but have seen that the seeds of healing can be planted in the space of a few sessions.

In sessions I am journeying with my clients, co-creating solutions and sometimes sitting together in the space of not-knowing. Given the right conditions, the body, mind and soul know what it needs. Trees are always growing, but sometimes need support to thrive.

I write for Therapy Today magazine, have been featured on the It's Complicated podcast and was filmed as a therapist for the Healing Hunter documentary series on psychotherapy techniques.

As a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy I follow their guidelines and ethics.

Registered / Accredited

Being registered/accredited with a professional body means an individual must have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by their member organisation.

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
