About me

I am an experienced psychotherapist & counsellor working in private practice to support clients with a range of mental health presentations. These include: Addiction, anxiety, body image issues, eating disorders, bereavement, depression, personality disorders, relationship difficulties, survivors of sexual assault, survivors of emotional or physical abuse and trauma.

I'm trained in Person Centred & Experiential Therapy which means that I work with you to help re-frame and process your experiences without judgement. I believe that you are the expert on your own life but that therapy will help you to make sense of relationship difficulties, difficult experiences or patterns of behaviour and help promote better mental health and wellbeing in your day to day life. Your safety and confidentiality are the centre of my work at all times.

My practice is based at 12 Broad Street, Stamford, PE9 1PG. I also work as an Associate Therapist at Rutland House Counselling & Psychotherapy in Leicester and offer online/telephone therapy from my home in Peterborough.

To get in touch please email me to book a therapy session or with any further enquiries.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (MBACP).

I am currently in my final year of further training at the Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute working towards my level 7 UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) accreditation.

Alongside private practice in Stamford, I am an Associate Therapist at Rutland House Counselling and Psychotherapy in Leicester. Prior to this I worked there for two years as a trainee. I also have experience offering psychotherapy/counselling at Wansford & Kingscliffe Surgery in an NHS setting.

Body Image/Disordered Eating Therapy

I work with clients who struggle with disordered eating, poor body image, low self esteem, binge eating presentations, and restrictive eating patterns to help them heal their relationship to their body, and complicated approaches to eating and food.

I work from a Health at Every Size Perspective. Whatever your relationship with your body, I am here to listen without judgement and honour your experience.

My practice room is designed to accommodate most body types with comfortable, accommodating chairs. Please enquire should you have any specific needs/queries and I will do my best to facilitate them.

Further information

In addition to offering therapy, I also work as a Mental Health Consultant. I'm passionate about encouraging properly regulated, high level mental health support within organisations. I believe this promotes success in the most productive, sustainable and ethical way for both employees and business providers.

I am strategically minded and possess a unique talent for assessing company needs and working to balance them within the best mental health interests of the individual. This can be achieved by looking at the wider needs of the business, or some one to one executive coaching.

I work with a diverse client base including those within Sports Advocacy, Human Rights Advocacy, Charities, Law firms and Schools.
