About me
**I have currently suspended face to face sessions in line with the government advice of social distancing, I am however still offering sessions via the telephone or online with Zoom**
I am based in Buckingham, and work with adults on a one to one basis. I am passionate about helping people through difficult times. I strongly believe that by supporting someone to explore their worries and concerns in a calm and trusted environment, can be a true healer.
If you are wondering if counselling is for you, I offer a free 30 minute initial meeting, where we can meet and I can explain the way that I work, while giving you the opportunity to ask any questions.
The way I work.
I am a qualified therapist, and a member of the BACP. I work in an integrative way and incorporate the Person-Centred approach, along with Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Transactional Analysis (TA) and the Psychodynamic approach, which means that I can work according to your needs. I aim to develop a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship, where we can explore how things are for you. We move at your pace, working through what you choose to discuss at each session.
Who I work with
I have successfully worked with people who have a wide variety of difficulties, including work at a mental health charity, for short-term, but also long-term work dealing with anxiety, depression, bereavement, low self-esteem, and many other issues.
I have an interest in working with professionals. The pressures of modern day living, and balancing a career with a family, or other commitments/expectations, is not to be underestimated. Working and managing personal difficulties, can at times feel overwhelming, and that is when counselling can provide the much needed support.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
