PTSD is a serious stress reaction following MVAs and must be appropriately diagnosed and treated. If left undiagnosed or misdiagnosed, the trauma victim could suffer from lifelong PTSD.
After The Crash
Signs You Might Be Suffering from PTSD after a motor vehicle accident. You should be concerned if you notice these symptoms after a motor vehicle accident:
- If you are re-experiencing the crash through intrusive memories, images and nightmares.
- If you are you avoiding talking about the accident.
- If you are you struggling or avoiding driving or travelling by car.
- If you are feeling fearful of driving to the point where you are physically incapable of driving.

Whilst we offer sliding-scale fees based on the client's ability to pay (this can be discussed at the time of contact), however generally our fees are as follows

We offer free telephone/Skype consultation; typically this first session is geared at gathering information about you and determines what concerns you'd like to work on. Also it is an opportunity for you to ask your therapist any questions and/or concerns you may have.
Fees: Our fees Varies from £40 telephone/Skype sessions to £95 for a 90 minutes EMDR session. We also offer home visits as well as other therapist-assisted experiments. Please to discuss the best treatment package for you.

Trauma can have a multifaceted effect on the human body and mind. Whether you are struggling with the emotional, behavioural, physiological and/or cognitive dysregulation that can often accompany traumatic stress, I can help. I have over fifteen years of experience treating and helping individuals impacted by symptoms associated with Complex PTSD and Dissociative Disorders. My clinical work focuses on individuals, struggling with trauma, anxiety, depression, divorce, behavioural difficulties, life cycle issues, life cycle changes (birth, aging, death). I strongly believe that although difficulties in life may exist; people are not broken. My name is Thekla Craven and I am a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. I provide a non-judgmental, empathic safe space to discuss personal issues you may be experiencing. I adhere to BABCP ethical framework. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy focuses on how our thoughts can affect how we feel and how this impacts on the way we behave and deal with emotional problems. I use an integrative approach to therapy incorporating Cognitive Behaviour Therapy alongside evidence-based psychotherapy treatments such as; Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and Mindfulness practice. I have worked in Forensic Mental Health (prisons and courts) for dual-diagnosis clients with substance misuse and long-term mental health issues, Primary Care Mental Health for clients with common mental health issues (anxiety, depression, social anxiety, obsessive compulsive disorder, low self-esteem and trauma), community-based settings and outreach projects (working with vulnerable adults and homelessness).
