Sessions with me take place in quiet and safe rooms in Fetcham. Talking in a relaxed environment can help make sense of feelings that might be difficult to understand.
In providing a non-judgemental and supportive environment, I can help you to explore the way you experience the world and relate to others, particularly at moments when you might be feeling stuck, isolated or misunderstood.
I believe that although we can't change the past, we can change how we feel about it, which leads to healthier coping strategies, a stronger present, and a more positive future, as well as increased self-awareness, self-value and a greater sense of balance.
I work from a person-centered approach, which enables me to utilise the most effective aspects of different modalities that work best for you.

Alongside working at The Priory Hospital Woking, I am an existential-analytic psychotherapist. I started as a Life Coach for people with learning and physical disabilities, commencing my journey as a therapist first in GP surgeries and later in hospices, counselling clients diagnosed with terminal illnesses as well as their families and the bereaved.
I have also been a part-time lecturer on a BA in Counselling and a therapeutic counselling course at Guildford College, Editorial Assistant for the European Journal of Psychotherapy and Counselling, and Research Assistant at the University of Roehampton.
Being a keen photographer, I am also interested in the therapeutic uses of photography following my involvement in the PhototherapyEurope in Prisons project, funded by the EU. My doctoral thesis is entitled ‘Stories of Comedy and Tragedy in Therapy’.

Each session usually takes place at the same day and time each week though flexible sessions can be considered in some circumstances.
