About me

Worried? Stressed? Feeling completely overwhelmed? Ok, let’s begin with a deep breath as I’m sure taking this first step was a little daunting. lets see if I'm going to be a good fit for you and what you need?

I'm a friendly, down to earth person who understands how life can just get on top of you. It's not my place to judge, give advice or tell you what to do. I can offer you time in your session to offload that mental load that is weighing you down and try and help you make some sense of it all.

My work spans over 12 years, working with a range of mental health issues and ages including bereavement, domestic violence, relationship issues and many more. I have worked with primary aged children, teenagers, adults and older adults, some of which had life-limiting illnesses.

I work in a variety of ways, tailoring my counselling around your needs to provide the best therapy for you, adopting the ‘one shoe does not fit all’ approach. You’re a unique individual and your support should reflect that.

I currently work online providing Long-term and short-term counselling online.

I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, (BACP) adhering to principles, guidelines and codes of conduct.

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred). Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA). Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision. Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training. All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
