Fraser Connell, MA ,MSc, UKCP (Reg), MBACP
I am a fully qualified Integrative counsellor and psychotherapist (UKCP registered) with over 25 years experience of working with people in a caring capacity and can offer both long and short term counselling/psychotherapy to individuals.
I am based in West London within easy reach of Acton, Brentford, Chiswick, Ealing, Hammersmith and Shepherds Bush.
Some of the issues I can assist with include anxiety, depression, relationship problems, bereavement, life changes, work related difficulties, low self esteem, eating disorders, addictions, self harm, anger management, panic attacks, issues around aging including dementia and sexuality issues.
Research indicates that the most important aspect of successful counselling is the relationship between the client and counsellor. For this reason I offer an initial free consultation which wil give you an opportunity to see how comfortable you are with me and ask me any questions you may have.
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their ethical framework for good counselling and psychotherapy.
Training, qualifications & experience
I worked as a qualified Social Worker (CQSW) for many years prior to gaining my Diploma in Integrative Counselling (2009) and Advanced Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychotherapy (2011) at the Minster Centre, one of the leading training centres in London.
My work experience has included both individual and group work and I have worked with adults between the ages of 18 and 80 from a wide range of backgrounds.
Integrative counselling/psychotherapy means that I have received training in many different models of counselling/psychotherapy. These include psychodynamic, humanistic, existential, transactional analysis, transpersonal and bodywork. I believe that all of these approaches have valuable contributions to make.
Integrative counselling/psychotherapy means that when working with you I may use a number of different techniques and interventions but never something that you feel uncomfortable with.
