About me

I understand that you and the issues that you face are unique. Whatever reason you are looking for support in this moment of your life I would be glad to be with you in this journey. I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental, respectful space for us to work together to explore the difficulties you are dealing with. Having had experience working with a wide range of clients, I know how much you and what you are facing are unique.

My reference theory is cognitive-behavioral. Cognitive behavioural therapy is based on the idea that how we think (cognition), how we feel (emotion) and how we act (behavior) all interact together.  Specifically, our thoughts determine our feelings and our behavior. Every emotion, every feeling and every action are also a thought. By "thought" we mean those little phrases that we all say to ourselves mentally, with which we evaluate a situation, we think about what to do, how to behave. To each emotion corresponds a thought that we can clarify and then even manage and even change. By modifying it we act on emotional suffering.

The meetings are usually on a weekly basis. In our first meeting we will try to understand together your needs and your therapeutic goals, we will try to understand how I can help you. Usually I also leave a questionnaire to be completed at home, if possible, to have a general anamnesis without taking too much time for our meeting in person.

What I deal with:

Anxiety, panic attacks, generalized anxiety disorderd, depression, loss, identity problems, self-esteem, sexual identity, sexuality, relationships, anger management, stress, work related issues, identity problems, self-esteem, mourning.

Member organisations

BACP

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
