Fleur Newton-Edwards (CTA(P),Dip. Counselling/Supervision/Hypnotherapy)
I am a fully qualified counsellor, psychotherapist and supervisor. For clients I'm able to provide a safe, confidential environment for people to speak, to feel, to be heard and valued as an individual in what can be a scary and challenging world. And for supervisees I'm able to provide the same environment to support development, growth and the wellbeing of clients.
Amongst other things, I work with adults who may be bereaved, depressed or anxious, have relationship, self-esteem or confidence problems, or maybe they have been diagnosed Autistic, OCD, Bipolar. I also have experience of working in corporate organisations in both the public and private sector so I often find this helps people who have issues at work or in their career. I find all this work really rewarding and a privilege.
My main way of working is based on the Transactional Analysis model and I am also able to use a wide range of techniques and theories, tailoring my approach to suit you. Some examples include NLP, CBT, EFT, Mindfulness, creative sand-tray. I pride myself on being able to provide a service that is really individually tailored to my client.
In addition to a more typical counselling role, I am able to offer hypnotherapy. I find this can work well in conjunction.
I'm happy to support individuals over eighteen years of age and couples on a face-to-face basis for short, medium or long term therapy.
