Five Rivers Assessment & Therapy Services
Five Rivers Assessment and Therapy Services aims to provide responsive and prompt supports to children, young people and their families. We also provide services to the Education Health and Social Service departments.
Over the last 30 years, we have developed a range of supports which consistently receive positive feedback from our clients on the usefulness and appropriateness of how we work.
We offer: Counselling and Psychotherapy: we provide the right approach at the right time locally to you. Our referrals co-ordinator is waiting is for your call and we will work hard to identify the right person to support you with your presenting concerns and difficulties. For this reason, we have a team of therapists who have a range of expertise and specialisms.
Assessments: often there is a need for psychological assessments and therefore we have a team of clinical psychologists who are able to offer a range of specialist advice around what assessment would be best and most appropriate.
Training: For teams working with children and young people, we provide training in a range of subjects such as 'caregiving strategies to support traumatised children and young people' etc.
Consultancy: We also offer clinical consultancy which is a service provided to professionals to through the accessing of specialist psychological expertise to provide support on particularly cases e.g. schools, social work departments, residential teams, foster carers.
Training, qualifications & experience
We have built an Affiliate Network: a team of Counsellors, Psychotherapists and Psychologists available to meet a range of therapeutic and assessment needs. All of our team are accredited and registered with the appropriate professional bodies:
- Register of Play and Creative Therapy
We understand the struggles often faced with obtaining therapeutic support when it is so desperately needed. The Affiliate Network was built out of the wish to help plug a gap in access to services required to help turn children's lives around.
