Hello and thank you for viewing my profile. I'm an experienced counsellor working from convenient locations in West Jesmond and Newcastle city centre. As an Intergrative counsellor I use a number of therapeutic approaches and techniques to meet your individual needs tailoring therapy to suit you. The main therapeutic techniques I use are drawn from Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Compassion Focused therapy. These are underpinned by a supportive therapeutic relationship, which research has shown is the most important aspect for successful therapy. I have experience working with all age groups, including young people and University students.
Problems I've worked with include: anxiety, stress, worry, panic, trauma, emotional regulation, depression, existential crisis, relationship issues, family issues, low self esteem, identity issues, bereavement and loss, domestic abuse, emotional abuse, anger issues, life transistors and suicidal ideation.
Choosing to pursue counselling can be a big decision and it's important you find a therapist you feel comfortable with and trust. I aim to create a safe, confidential and supportive space for you to explore and work through your problems at your own pace. Please feel free to get in touch to ask any questions or to book an initial half price consultation.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
