Fiona Williamson, MBACP (Regd), DIRC, Couple and Individual Counsellor
Hello, my name is Fiona and I am a qualified individual and Relate trained Couple Counsellor with a special interest in working with survivors of sexual abuse.
Are you struggling and don't know who to turn to? Do you need someone to talk to who can help? Perhaps your relationship is in trouble and you don't know what to do. You may have issues with abuse, anxiety, an affair, addiction, depression, family, lack of communication, lack of trust, money, pornography, sex, trauma, work, or maybe you no longer desire or feel anything for your partner. Feelings of guilt, shame and fear prevent us from moving forward and I offer support and a non-judgemental space so that we can work through these issues together.
I use an 'Integrative' approach to counselling which means I draw on a range of therapies to best suit your needs. I understand that counselling can feel daunting but if you are prepared to look closely and honestly at your past and present, then the journey can be very rewarding. In Couple Counselling no two couples are the same and there is no such thing as a 'normal relationship' it's about creating a relationship where both of you feel valued and understood.
There is a popular belief that therapy is always serious and hard work, which at times it can be, but it can also be an enjoyable and rewarding experience.
