About me

Hello, my name is Fiona and I am a qualified Individual and Relate trained Couple Counsellor.

Are you struggling and don't know who to turn to? Do you need someone to talk to who can help? Perhaps your relationship is experiencing difficulties and you don't know what to do? Maybe you have stopped communicating or your attempts at communicating always ends the same. You may have issues with money, sex, addiction, abuse, work, affairs, family, lack of trust or maybe you no longer desire or feel anything for your partner.  As a Relate trained Individual and Couple Counsellor I offer support and a non-judgemental space so that together we can work through these issues.

I use an 'Integrative' approach to counselling which means I draw on a range of therapies to best suit the needs of my clients.  I understand that counselling can feel daunting, however, if you are prepared to look closely and honestly at your past and present, then the journey can be very rewarding. In Couple Counselling no two couples are the same and there is no such thing as a 'normal relationship' it's about creating a relationship where both of you feel valued, heard and respected.

There is a popular belief that therapy is always serious and hard work, which at times it can be, but it can also be light hearted, enjoyable, fulfilling and enlightening.

Training, qualifications & experience

In addition to my CPCAB Diploma in Relationship Counselling  I have a COSCA qualification in Counselling Skills from Caledonian University in Glasgow, and an Open College Diploma in Sexual Abuse Counselling. I trained to be a Couple Counsellor with Relate in London. I only work with clients over the age of 18. I am a Member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and Relationships Scotland.
