Fiona Taylor, MBACP (registered), Dip Therapeutic Counselling CPCAB
About me
Hi there, I am a counsellor and psychotherapist offering support to teenagers, young people and adults in Haslemere, Liphook Godalming and the surrounding areas. In these strange and difficult times I offer on-line video counselling as well as telephone sessions.
As you are looking at this directory it is more than likely that you or someone you know is struggling at the moment. It may be something that you or they have been having problems with for a while. It could be a recent issue or a number of things that have all come to the fore at the same time. Most people through life encounter difficulties that they have to deal with. For some the difficulties can all become too much and they feel they need support.
As a counsellor and psychotherapist I offer a safe confidential space where you can explore and work through whatever issues you are stuggling with and wish to bring to counselling. It is important to build a strong therapeutic relationship between us so you feel comfortable and supported as you will be dealing with difficult and sometimes very personal thoughts and feelings. We will work together at your pace exploring whatever you wish to bring to each session, empowering you to develop your own strategies to cope and move forward with your life.
I am supportive, non judgmental, and caring with a wealth of life experience. I work in private practise with daytime, evening and weekend appointments. I also work for agencies in local GP practises in the area.
I offer an introductory session which is a chance for you to talk to me and see if counselling is something you would like to proceed with at this point in time. Thereafter I offer a regular slot each week for as long as we agree is right for you.
I am a registered member of the British Association Of Counselling and Psychotherapy and abide by their principles of good practice in their Ethical Framework.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
Accredited register membership

Accredited Register Scheme
The Accredited Register Scheme was set up in 2013 by the Department of Health (DoH) as a way to recognise organisations that hold voluntary registers which meet certain standards. These standards are set by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).
This therapist has indicated that they belong to an Accredited Register.
