About me

Welcome. I am an experienced Integrative Psychotherapist, Transactional Analysis Counsellor & Developmental and Executive Coach, working with adults, young adults, couples and groups.    I offer a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment in which to explore your thoughts and feelings, to help you move beyond your perceived limitations and realise your full potential.

Counselling & Psychotherapy     For all of us there are times in our lives when we feel confused, distressed or unable to cope.  Therapy offers the opportunity to achieve a greater understanding of ourselves and our emotional distress and through the process of therapy we can discover what holds us back, enabling us to change old patterns and find new ways of approaching and overcoming difficulties.  This leads to better solutions, it enables us to be better grounded and take more control of our lives, improving confidence and self-esteem.   Issues I work with, but are not exclusive to, include:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • ADHD
  • Low self-esteem
  • Relationships and family issues
  • Life transitions
  •  OCD
  • Perfectionism
  • Grief and loss
  • Self-harm
  • Addictions

My therapeutic approach is integrative, mainly drawing on Transactional Analysis, alongside Gestalt, Attachment Theory, Existential, Psychodynamic and CBT models.

Please contact me to arrange a free initial appointment to discuss therapy further.

Coaching concentrates on personal and professional development. Sometimes, just finding a way through difficult life events can seem impossible, and the feelings we experience can seem overwhelming and very confusing.  We can find ourselves stuck in defeating patterns of behaviour or in relationships which feel unhealthy.   We may be struggling to realise goals or move forward with projects.
The benefits of life coaching are far-reaching.   Whether one is seeking guidance in career advancement or personal development or simply looking for support in navigating through challenges – engaging in a partnership with a coach can be an invaluable investment towards living a fulfilling and purposeful life.   Issues I work with include:

  • Improving self-esteem and confidence
  • Setting and achieving clear goals
  • Procrastination
  • Life transitions
  • Feeling stuck
  • Managing overwhelm
  • Overcoming anxiety
  • Improving relationships
  • Burnout recovery
  • Finding a purpose and pursuing it
  • Navigating your 20s & 30s

Please contact me to arrange a free Discovery Call (by phone or via Zoom) to discuss coaching further .

Member organisations

BACP
British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP)

BACP is one of the UK’s leading professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy with around 60,000 members. The Association has several different categories of membership, including Student Member, Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP, Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Accred) and Senior Registered Accredited Member MBACP (Snr Acccred).

Registered and accredited members are listed on the BACP Register, which shows that they have demonstrated BACP’s recommended standards for training, proficiency and ethical practice. The BACP Register was the first register of psychological therapists to be accredited by the Professional Standards Authority (PSA).

Accredited and senior accredited membership are voluntary categories for members who choose to undertake a rigorous application and assessment process to demonstrate additional standards around practice, training and supervision.

Individual members will have completed an appropriate counselling or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but they won’t appear on the BACP Register until they've demonstrated that they meet the standards for registration. Student members are still in the process of completing their training.

All members are bound by the BACP Ethical Framework and a Professional Conduct Procedure.
