About me

There are times when life can be extremely challenging and it may be difficult to be able to see the wood from the trees.  Challenges however, are also opportunities to reflect on our circumstances and explore different ways of doing things or relating; which may improve the quality of our lives.

I provide a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space for reflection and exploration to help you or your family find a way forward through the challenges you may be facing such as anxiety, depression, bereavement, relationship difficulties, stress, divorce recovery or other life transitions.

I work using a number of different theoretical models, including psychodynamic which explores the past to gain understanding about how it might be impacting on the present.   I also work systemically to explore patterns of relating between family members or significant others in your life.

I also have a particular interest in early intervention and am trained to work with parents/caregivers to help develop secure parent-child attachment relationships.

The therapeutic relationship is a key ingredient for effecting change and  so I aim to work collaboratively with my clients and, at a pace that they are comfortable with.  I also bring many years of experience, warmth, empathy, humour and creativity to aid the therapeutic process.

If you have any queries or would like to make an appointment please either telephone or email me.
