About me

Low self-esteem can make you feel like you can’t speak up for yourself, that you aren’t good enough and leave you confused about who you are and what you want from life. You may feel sad, anxious and stuck, not being able to see a way out of these feelings. Maybe you’ve never felt comfortable to say what you want to say because you’re afraid of confrontation or judgment. The thought of prioritising yourself in your own life might feel uncomfortable, unnatural or even selfish.

How I can help

Working with me will help you see things from a different perspective so that you can understand how you got to this place. Counselling can help you communicate clearly how you feel and what you want, improving your relationships at home and at work. I can help you challenge critical thoughts you have about yourself so that you start to accept and build confidence in who you are.

In addition to counselling, I’ve worked in the NHS for over a decade, supporting people to find their voice and share their stories.

Opening up about how you are feeling can be daunting - so, it’s important you find the right person to do that with. I offer a free 15-minute telephone consultation so that you can see how we might work together.  Send me an email or call me if you’d like to book in, or if you have any questions. I work online and offer short or long-term therapy for adults.

About online therapy

For some people, being able to fit face to face therapy into their lives just isn’t possible, or preferable. I am experienced at offering online and telephone counselling. I passionately believe it offers choice, flexibility and convenience for my clients without missing out on the very important connection needed between a client and their counsellor.

Training, qualifications & experience

I am committed to learning and developing for my clients and for myself. I regularly undertake training and development to improve my skills. Here are some of my qualifications:

  • CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Integrative Counselling
  • CPCAB Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills
  • CPCAB Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Studies
  • Training in Online and Telephone Counselling
  • BA Hons (Creative Writing)
  • Adult and child safeguarding

I am an individual member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and follow their ethical guidelines at all times.

As well as working in private practice, I work in a low cost counselling service and I’ve worked in the NHS for over a decade, supporting people to find their voice and share their stories.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
