About me

Hello and welcome to my profile.

Life can throw some unexpected and tough times at us. This is probably even more true than ever at the moment! Reaching out for support is a first step towards working through these difficulties.

Sometimes it might feel like you will never feel better, but counselling or psychotherapy can support you towards finding life's challenges more manageable.

What I do

I provide a safe and confidential space for you to talk about any difficult feelings you have. It's important to feel comfortable with your counsellor so I will offer an initial phone consultation so you can get a better idea of whether I'm the right person for you.

My approach is collaborative and I will work flexibly with whatever it is that you want to bring to therapy. I'm interested in you and your experiences and how they might be impacting your life today. My work has a focus on grief and loss. I can also help with feelings of anxiety and depression.

Sometimes it's hard to find words to express our feelings, so I offer creative tools such as drawing or mindfulness to find different ways to explore your experience. This can be a powerful way of getting in touch with different parts yourself. We can work this way over video and telephone using any materials you may have at home.

I am an experienced counsellor and I am also completing my academic and professional training in psychotherapy this year.

I am based in both Shropshire and Birmingham.

Member organisations

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy

BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.

Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.

All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.

Wheelchair user access

Wheelchair-accessible premises should have step-free access for wheelchair users and individuals who are unable to climb stairs. If a counsellor's premises aren't step-free, they may offer alternative services such as telephone/web-based appointments, home visits, or meeting clients in different location, so you can choose the option that suits you best.

You can contact the counsellor to discuss the options available.

Under the Equality Act 2010 service providers have a duty to make reasonable adjustments to ensure that individuals with disabilities can access their service. You can read more about reasonable adjustments to help you to access services on the CAB website.
