Fiona Barbour Registered MBACP, PG Dip Humanistic Counselling

I am a qualified and experienced Humanistic Counsellor, providing individual counselling to young people and adults in a safe and confidential space, both online and face to face. I can help you to understand and explore the challenging issues in your life, such as anxiety, relationship difficulties or depression.
How might counselling help you?
Counselling can provide an opportunity to talk to someone impartial, in a supportive and non-judgmental environment. Together we can work through the personal difficulties you are suffering with, and seek to gain insight and clarification for you, so that you are able to move forward in your life.
As a humanistic counsellor, I aim to provide a supportive, encouraging, and empathic therapeutic relationship with my clients. My intention is to accept you as a whole person, whatever it is that you bring to your counselling session, aiming to understand and work with the way that you view your current situation.
I provide counselling online both via Skype and PlusGuidance. This may be particularly suited to those who don't live locally to me, or who require more flexibility in fitting their counselling sessions around the rest of their life.
Face to face counselling
I currently work as a counsellor at Cloud-Free Counselling, in Hurstpierpoint High Street, and as a team our counselling focus is about change; a shift towards emotional wellbeing; a move towards choice, lifting barriers that hold you back, and focusing on you!
I am fully insured and I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy working within its framework for good practice.

I have been trained as a bereavement counsellor with St Catherine’s Hospice, and also have experience of working with a wide range of client issues, including depression, anxiety, addiction, self-harm, self-esteem and relationship issues, with both men and women of a variety of ages.
