Felicity Oppe. MSc. Systemic Psychotherapy, BSc. Counselling.Registered UKCP
I am a family therapist and a systemic psychotherapist working independently from dedicated counselling rooms in Fairwater/Llandaff
I work with families, couples and individuals who are experiencing difficulties in a number of areas including following divorce and separation and when family courts have recommended that family therapy might be useful in resolving conflict between children and parents following divorce and separation.
I work with individuals, couples and families experiencing difficulties following bereavement and loss.
I also work with families where behavioural issues are resulting in stress and problems with communication and trust.
Systemic Family Therapy can be useful in these kinds of circumstances. As a systemically trained practitioner I aim for neutrality and open communication, providing a safe space for exploration and open dialogue.
As a counsellor I also work with individuals looking for a safe space to discuss and explore both long standing and more recent difficulties.
I am a registered member of The Association of Family Therapist and The United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapist (UKCP) both of which work to high ethical and professional standards. I am registered to with work with children, young people, adults, couples and families. I was trained at The Family Institute, University South Wales.
I have worked for several years as a Systemic Family Therapist with Action for Children in Talbot Green and in Caerphilly and have worked as a school's counsellor in Tredegar and Cardiff.
My fees start at £50 per hour for individuals, £60 per hour for couples and £70 per hour for families.
I offer concessions for people on low wages or those living on benefits.
