About me

I'm a CBT and EMDR therapist, accredited with both the BABCP and EMDR UK.  My experience has been primarily within the NHS, helping people who are experiencing anxiety and depression to make changes within 8 to 16 sessions.

Anxiety might present itself in different ways, such as physical symptoms of panic attacks, worry about doing particular things, difficulty sleeping and nightmares.

Low mood and depression might make it difficult to feel motivated to go to work or do things you normally enjoy, or you might feel a lot less confident than you normally do.

Sometimes it's clear what has caused these difficulties, and sometimes it's less clear.  Both CBT and EMDR can help to make changes to how you feel physically and emotionally as well as understanding a bit more about what sets off these feelings.

When we meet, we can think together about your particular difficulties and what you would like to achieve and whether CBT or EMDR, or perhaps a combination of the two would be most helpful.
