Ms F Dawson (MA, MBACP)
If you are going through a difficult time in your relationship (whether that's with a partner or a family member) or you're just feeling alone in a personal struggle, I can help. Everyone, no matter who you are, experiences difficulties from time to time and it's ok to ask for help or get support from a professional. I would be happy to support you with developing better understanding of yourself, perspective and coping strategies for the concerns you bring.
I use an integrative approach to working with clients, and will explore with you the impact of past experiences and the broader context on the concerns you share. I also draw on other approaches where appropriate and I will occasionally use creative techniques where it may benefit the counselling process.
Working in a gentle and balanced way, I am committed to providing a tailored approach that considers your individual needs and background. I will work with you to build a shared perspective on the issues you bring and a set of goals to address these.
I work with both couples and individuals experiencing a range of issues affecting their relationships and personal well-being. Examples of the issues I work with include:
- Infidelity (including virtual infidelity)
- Communication issues
- Life transitions
- Low self-esteem
- Interpersonal and relationship difficulties
- loneliness and isolation
- anxiety, depression and low mood
- issues of identity and culture
Please get in touch for a free telephone consultation. I mainly work on the Southside of Glasgow in Shawlands (but I also work from the city centre if this suits you better).
