I am an integrative registered Counsellor / Psychotherapist working in London
Is life becoming more problematic?
Struggling to manage or understand your feelings?
My experience of working with people over many years as an Integrative humanistic Counsellor / Psychotherapist leads me to recognize and value the ability of each individual to heal.
In my practice I provide a confidential safe environment to explore, reflect and promote wellbeing.
I have been working for over twenty years with people affected by substance misuse helping them deal with significant issues beyond their addiction and to maintain abstinence.
My long term experience also involves helping people faced with issues such as: Physical and emotional trauma, anxiety, depression, self- esteem, bereavement, loss, relationship problems, sexual identity, anger management and others.
I specialise in working with people affected by any form of violence, helping them to move away from their painful past by dealing with experiences often connected to post-traumatic stress disorders.
In my work I am familiar with issues relating to sexual identity and cultural differences. All forms of personal struggles that I am presented with, I place at the core of my work.
In my initial interactions with clients I build up on the trust shown to me by giving encouragement through positive regard. Throughout my long term experience I have firmly held a belief that we are all capable of healing.
Helping people to understand and manage difficult feelings when faced with personal struggles is rewarding and empowering. In my work I recognise that it takes courage to ask for help at a time when life can feel difficult. The courage in taking that initial step shows a willingness to share painful experiences that will facilitate the opportunity for change. Self discovery through personal exploration facilitates the healing process and builds up self- esteem creating the opportunity towards personal growth and fulfilment.
I run a private practice in Central London working with both individuals and couples where I adapt my therapeutic integrative approach according to client needs. I also work as a Trauma Specialist Therapist for Women & Girls Network where I help women recover from any for of violence. This is based at the West London Rape Crisis Centre
