What is the first step when it comes to counselling with me?
Initial Contact: Please send me an email and I will reply with a phone call with a free consultation. This will be a brief assessment of your needs and what to expect from counselling. If you feel you are ready to continue, we can organise the date and time of our first session to talk further.
First meeting: This is when we talk about what brings you to counselling in a little more depth. It is a chance for you to see if you want to have regular counselling and we will agree the time and day to meet each week.
Counselling can be life changing, my way of working is to go at your pace, if its slow or fast, I am here to match it. No question is too silly to ask about counselling and I aim to give you as much information as I can
As a Person-Centred counsellor I have supported people with depression and anxiety I will not offer solutions but guide you to find your own path to understanding yourself and towards a place you feel you can cope alone without further need for counselling.
As a counsellor I am warm, empathic and aim to be non-judgemental, I will ask if I don't understand something but will always aim to try and see things from your perspective. Sometimes it can be lonely when your views are different or not understood by others but I offer a confidential space where you can share them without fear of judgement.
