I am an experienced, registered therapeutic Psychotherapist, Counsellor and Coach working near Tidworth on the Hampshire / Wiltshire border helping people to make changes and cope with life's challenges.

if life has become difficult and you need some support to sort things out I'm here to help. Together we work out the best way forward for you. Talking things through with someone who doesn't judge you and can give you tools to cope can make a real difference.

I see people with a wide range of issues and have successfully treated them by integrating counselling and coaching styles incorporating CBT and NLP into my approach. We can explore together during your initial session what is best for you. I specialise in nutrition to help improve your mood naturally. I like to find the tools that will help you feel better quickly so that you can live your best life.

There are a number of different ways we can work together-

1 Individual sessions lasting an hour. These can be arranged at intervals that suit you - weekly, every 2 weeks, monthly for example

2 A programme: After a telephone consultation (no charge) we would have a 90 minute session followed by 3 or 5 sessions of an hour each. After this you can choose to continue having sessions on an ad hoc basis or to commit to a further 3 or 5 sessions.

3 A one-off in-depth problem solving double session lasting 2 hours.

Just let me know which you would prefer when you get in touch.

I help people when they are experiencing:

  • Anxiety
  • Generalised Anxiety Disorder
  • Social Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Feeling sad
  • Low self-esteem
  • Bereavement and loss
  • Relationship issues
  • Changing patterns of behaviour
  • Emotional abuse
  • Bullying
  • Family issues
  • Parenting issues
  • Stress
  • Loneliness
  • Affairs and betrayals
  • Separation and divorce
  • Finding life difficult
  • Finding change difficult
  • Making life changing decisions
  • Difficulties achieving goals

Depression and Anxiety can be experienced in very different ways from feeling sad, feeling tired all the time to panic attacks, generalised anxiety disorder and PTSD. As well as talking through how you are feeling we can look at positive actions you can take to start making the changes so that you can feel how you would like to again.

I have a great deal of experience helping patients, their careers and their families, cope with diagnosis, treatment and recovery from illness. I have worked in a Cancer ward and work on an award winning Diabetes management team. Having support and someone to talk to outside of friends and family at times of change, loss and grief can be so helpful.

I successfully treat many people who struggle with eating disorders and their relationship with food. I give regular talks on The Psychology of Eating. Looking at the emotions that might be behind eating patterns is an extremely effective way to change those patterns in the long term and is vital to control what, why and when you eat.

Coping with betrayal and affairs in relationships from suspicion and discovery to separation and divorce can trigger many extremely difficult feelings and situations that talking through with someone who will listen without judgement can be such a relief and help you find a way forwards.

I have coached many teenagers and adults to overcome bullying in school, in the workplace or in their home. This often involves looking at ways to respond differently, how to prioritise and express your own needs and building self-esteem. Once this pattern is changed it positively effects your relationships for the rest of your life.

Looking at team issues at work, with friends or in sport is another area that I help people with. Understanding other people, their behaviours and how you react to them can be revealing and enlightening and fundamental to how you perform.

I also specialise in helping people who are feeling:

  • Over-stressed
  • Out of control
  • Overwhelmed

Working together, looking at what is going on and why to find a way forwards that works for you.

I can help if you would like to:

  • Cope with changes in your life
  • Explore your Personal growth and development
  • Improve your Social skills
  • Change your patterns in relationships - family, friends, colleagues, teams, partners, people in authority
  • Make big decisions in your life
  • Make and achieve your goals and resolutions

Together we develop your self-awareness by understanding your patterns of thought, patterns in relationships, and how you experience emotions.

Improving your self-awareness can inform the choices you make so that you can start living the life you want.

Come and share what has brought you to therapy to see if working with me feels comfortable.

Please feel free to contact me to talk through what brings you to search for support and to explore how we could work together so that you can start living your life exactly how you would like to.
