About me

Counselling in Brief:

Affordable Rates:£30 per session/ student discount/ hardship discount available.

As a counsellor my aim is to offer all clients an emphatic and non-judgmental service. I believe that each individual is unique, for this reason, I work from the person-centred approach this means that I accept each client exactly as they are.

I do not aim to 'fix' or 'advise' rather I work alongside the client on their unique journey of healing and growth.

About Me:

I have undergone my own personal development journey and I realise the difference support and acceptance can make. I have studied counselling, psychology and mental-health, I hold a Bachelors degree with honors in Counselling studies.

I have taught Counselling at Grimsby University and worked in a variety of supporting roles.

I believe my experience in these roles as well as my own life experiences are important additions to my way of being as a counsellor.

I work with a variety of issues, my areas of interest include, adults who grew up with alcoholic parents low self-worth, depression, confidence and relationships.

Why Come to Counselling?

People visit counselling for a variety of reasons; whether this is because of trauma, addiction, abuse, bereavement, anxiety, depression, illness, family issues and so on, whilst others may not come to counselling with a specific issue- counselling is not a fixed process, every client will come with their own unique reasons and as a counsellor I accept each client and respect each individual for who they are.

What happens in Counselling Sessions?

I offer counselling sessions in a safe and calm environment where each client is able to use the time and space as they wish; whether this is a time to speak about specific issues or events or whether it is simply a space to simply be you.

I counsel from my own home, I offer a space here where clients can feel safe and relaxed.

Counselling can help the client to reclaim their own power, as a counsellor I aim to walk alongside each client, to understand the unique process whilst offering support and empathy.

Sessions: For best outcome it is required that both the counsellor and the client aim to have weekly sessions that last for one hour.

Rates:   Per Session:
