Evan Bond MA Chartered MCIPD MBACP
The focus of my work is helping people overcome obstacles to becoming content in their personal and work lives. Having been an organizational psychologist in the public and private sectors for many years, I have experience of working with a range of people of differing seniority, occupation and nationality. My further qualifications as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist have enabled me to work with individuals and couples in a wider setting.
As an experienced counsellor I am guided by my belief that we each have the capacity to find a way of being content in the world. I will work supportively and sensitively with you as you seek to find your personal path.
When Counselling Can Help
Are you feeling deeply unhappy? Have you lost your ability to see a clear path through your difficulties? Are you experiencing a sense of complete helplessness, meaninglessness or acute loneliness? Counselling and therapy can help you to understand painful or confusing feelings and allow you to gain a sense of awareness, clarity and confidence through increasing your understanding of yourself and others. I will support you through gentle exploration, non judging supportiveness and a commitment to your well-being.
Individual Therapy will involve an initial examination and agreement around the issues that are causing you difficulty and unhappiness. We may set specific goals to address these and work towards their achievement or we may look within for subtle answers. I will seek to offer ways in which you may be able to heal painful memories as well as exploring your current situation to find routes towards a more satisfying way of living in the world.
If you have reached a point in your relationship where you are experiencing unhappiness I can help you by encouraging and supporting honest and open communication between yourself and your partner. I will help you discover new ways of relating, communicating and managing conflict in a safe and non judgemental environment. If you decide to separate I will work with you to ensure this process is managed sensitively and respectfully.
