A bit about me
I am qualified as a person-centred counsellor and CBT/ACT therapist. I will offer you a safe space, a warm, settling demeanour; I will work with you to develop out of session practical skills to support you 24/7. I believe in adapting therapeutic tools and space to suit you as an individual. Together we can explore what is happening for you right now, in the past and the future. Perhaps this is the time to open up and reflect on your inner emotions and relationship with yourself, or some problem-solving strategies are needed. Whether it is long term or short term support you require, be assured that you have a safe, confidential space here.
I have a long standing background and training in supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and generalised anxiety disorders (GAD). Both from a personal and professional stand point, I have experienced the impact of anxiety when it feels as though it is steering your life to a destination you do not want, when the overwhelming sense of uncertainty puts you off doing anything you want to. If you are autistic or are seeking support for someone with ASC, then it is of great importance to me that I learn your/their best communication and thinking styles, to tailor therapy to your individual needs.
In my experience (not every client) autistic clients, come to therapy for many individual reasons whether it be past trauma, depression, anxiety, the main challenge has been making sense between the too differing thinking and communication styles. This is the key element I like to address in my sessions. However, some clients might come because their communication and thinking has an impact on their relationships. They would like to find an effective way to communicate which will meet both styles of thinking. This is also something I am happy to explore with you.

British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy
BACP is one of the UK’s largest professional bodies for counselling and psychotherapy. Therapists registered with the Association fall into a number of different membership categories such as Individual Member, Registered Member MBACP and Registered Member MBACP (Accred), each standing for different levels of training and experience. MBACP (Accred) and MBACP (Snr Accred) members have achieved a substantial level of training and experience approved by the Association.
Registered members can be found on the BACP Register, which was the first register to achieve Accredited Voluntary Register status issued by the Professional Standards Authority. Individual Members will have completed an appropriate counselling and/or psychotherapy course and started to practise, but will not appear on the BACP Register until they've progressed to Registered Member MBACP status.
All members are bound by a Code of Ethics & Practice and a Complaints Procedure. Accredited by the Professional Standards Authority.
