Lots of people go through times when they struggle with worry and stress or feeling down and overwhelmed. If you're finding things hard at the moment, I could help you find a way through the fog using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I have found CBT to be incredibly useful in my own life and I am now passionate about teaching people how to use CBT strategies to help them move towards their goals.
We will work together to build on your strengths and reduce the less helpful thinking patterns and behaviours that might be holding you back. My work is based in person-centred principles, which means I will be non-judgemental and respectful in my partnership with you. I won't tell you how to fix things, but I can help you find your own way through your difficulties.

My early career was in social care working with people with learning disabilities and I later trained as a Social Worker supporting women fleeing domestic abuse, vulnerable adults and older people with mental health problems. Since retraining as a CBT therapist I've gained extensive experience working with people experiencing anxiety disorders, depression and chronic pain/illness. I now work solely in private practice and I'm also an Anxiety UK approved therapist.

I know it can be nerve-racking making that first contact for therapy; you may feel nervous not knowing what to expect or what I will be like, but I will try to put you at ease and explain what we'll do as we go along. If you'd like to chat about your requirements or check availability, please feel free to call or email me. Together we can figure this out!
